  • Subsequent studies in education in music majoring in percussion from 1973 to 1977

  • Substitute percussionist at Hanover State Opera

  • Solo timpanist at Braunschweig State Theater and with the Cologne Rundfunk Symphony Orchestra from 1979

  • From 1977 to 1982, member of Bayreuth Festival Orchestra

  • Since 1986, member of Berliner Philharmoniker, Lecturer at Berliner Philharmoniker Orchestra Academy and in various master courses

  • Since 2000, Guest Professor for Timpani and Percussion at Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin
