About
An active percussionist, Shiqi brings a unique depth to both classical and contemporary performance. With over 26 years of experience in percussion, including extensive training at prestigious institutions such as Juilliard, Curtis, and Yale, Shiqi has become known for exceptional skill across a wide range of percussion instruments, particularly mallets, orchestral and world percussion.
Having worked with top-tier orchestras, music festivals, and international competitions, Shiqi is adept at tackling complex repertoires with both technical precision and expressive artistry, making him the top choice for music contractors.
Shiqi is currently the visiting professor at Bard Conservatory(USCIM Institute) while completing his doctoral studies at New York University. He is passionate about music education and regularly leads workshops and masterclasses to inspire and mentor future percussionists.
